When should I arrive for the cruise?
We highly recommend arriving the day before your cruise—especially if you're flying. Boarding begins at 10:30 AM, and all Guests must be onboard no later than 90 minutes before sailing. Do I need a passport?
While a passport is not required for all Guests, we strongly recommend traveling with one. If you do not have a passport and wish to cruise with us, please contact us for a complete list of acceptable travel documents. Please note that each Guest is individually responsible for ensuring they have the proper documentation.

Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise is a curated vacation experience combining world-class Pickleball programming with the adventure of a Royal Caribbean cruise. Guests enjoy daily Pickleball play, instruction from a certified Pickleball Pro, exclusive group court time, ashore Pickleball experiences, social events, and more. You can learn more about the experience by visiting our Experience Overview page.
Is there Pickleball play at every port?
Every Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise includes at least one Exclusive Local Pickleball Experience ashore. Longer itineraries offer Pickleball opportunities in multiple ports, depending on logistics and facility availability.
Are Pickleball lessons included or do they cost extra?
Your Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise includes group lessons, drills, strategy sessions and more at no additional cost.
Do I need to be an experienced Pickleball player to join?
Not at all! Our cruises welcome all skill levels, including beginners. Instruction and play are grouped by skill level so every Guest has a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Can my travel companion join if they don’t play Pickleball?
Absolutely! Non-players are always welcome and can enjoy all the cruise amenities. They’re invited to join all group dinners, social events, shore excursions and more.
Do I have to participate in all Pickleball activities?
Not at all. This is your vacation. Join the sessions you love, relax when you want, or explore the ship—it’s totally flexible.
What makes Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise different from a regular cruise with Pickleball courts?
Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise offers private court access, structured lessons, exclusive ashore experiences, certified instruction, group dining, social events, curated programming, and a built-in community. It’s a full Pickleball vacation—not just a court on a ship.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Once your Experience Deposit and Stateroom Deposit are paid, you can make additional payments at any time before your final payment date. Monthly plans are also available by request.
Will wind or ship movement affect Pickleball play?
Very rarely. The ship's Sports Court is well-protected, and the ship’s stabilizers keep things remarkably steady—similar to playing outdoors on land. We’re also very intentional about the ships we sail on, the time of year we travel, and the itineraries we choose to ensure the best possible playing conditions. And on the off chance something shifts, our Pickleball Pro adjusts with modified drills or fun group activities so you always enjoy a great Pickleball experience.
Is it hard to play Pickleball on a moving cruise ship?
Not at all. Most people feel little to no movement onboard—and many forget they’re even on a ship while playing. The Sports Court is stable, the ship’s stabilizers and onboard technology keep things smooth, and we’re intentional about the ships, seasons, and itineraries we choose to ensure the best possible conditions.
How do the Group Dinners work?
We reserve a block of tables next to each other each evening in the Main Dining Room. You can sit wherever you'd like, meet new people, or stay with the same group—totally up to you.
I’m traveling solo. Will I have someone to dine or play with?
Absolutely! We have many solo travelers. You’ll be matched with a skill group and are invited to nightly Group Dinners, meetups, and social time.
I’m an intermediate player. Will the Pickleball programming be a good fit for me?
Yes! Intermediate players make up a large portion of our Guests, and our programming is designed to help you sharpen skills, build confidence, and elevate your game. You’ll enjoy dedicated drills, small-group instruction, and competitive-but-friendly match play with players at your same level.
Will I be matched with players close to my skill level?
Absolutely. We group Guests based on the skill level you provide in your Pre-Cruise Survey and confirm it on Day 1 during warm-ups and rally assessments. Intermediates are kept together to ensure balanced, competitive play all week.
What does training look like for advanced players?
Our Pickleball Pro who has competed at some of the highest levels of the sport and has coached, mentored, or trained some of Pickleball’s biggest names. Expect high-intensity drill sessions, advanced strategy work, speed-focused rotations, and competitive match play—designed to challenge experienced players while still keeping the environment fun, fast-paced, and inclusive.
