Cruise Ships With Pickleball Courts: The Complete 2026 Guide
Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing activities at sea, and most major cruise lines have added courts to keep up with demand. Here's a look at many of the cruise ships offering Pickleball in 2026, including dedicated courts and multi-use sports courts configured for play. Availability, court setup, and scheduled playing time can vary by ship and sailing—and by the end, you'll know exactly what separates a ship that simply has a court from a vacation actually built around the game.
Royal Caribbean:
Royal Caribbean has added Pickleball across most of its fleet, including Adventure Of The Seas, Allure Of The Seas, Brilliance Of The Seas, Explorer Of The Seas, Freedom Of The Seas, Harmony Of The Seas, Hero Of The Seas, Icon Of The Seas, Independence Of The Seas, Jewel Of The Seas, Legend Of The Seas, Liberty Of The Seas, Mariner Of The Seas, Navigator Of The Seas, Oasis Of The Seas, Radiance Of The Seas, Serenade Of The Seas, Star Of The Seas, Symphony Of The Seas, Utopia Of The Seas, Voyager Of The Seas, and Wonder Of The Seas—all on open-air, on-deck sports courts with ocean views. Royal Caribbean's Quantum and Quantum Ultra-class ships—Odyssey Of The Seas, Ovation Of The Seas, Spectrum Of The Seas, Quantum Of The Seas, and Anthem Of The Seas—offer Pickleball indoors in the SeaPlex instead. Many Players actually prefer the open-air setup: natural light instead of indoor fluorescents, real ocean views while you play, and the ship's structure still provides solid wind protection despite being outdoors.
Royal Caribbean is also the cruise line Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise sails exclusively—and it's a deliberate choice, not a default. Most Royal Caribbean ships offer three Pickleball courts, more space and better wind protection than almost anywhere else at sea, compared to the single court typical of Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, MSC, Norwegian, Virgin Voyages, Regent, Oceania, Explora, and Cunard. We reserve private group court time for our Guests on every sailing, onboard and ashore, so you're playing structured clinics and real matches from day one—not simply waiting your turn on a shared court and hoping other Players of your same skill level show up.
Celebrity Cruises:
Celebrity offers Pickleball on around 10 ships—Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Solstice, and Celebrity Summit—all with open-air courts and ocean views.
Carnival Cruise Line:
Carnival offers Pickleball within its SportSquare zones on the following ships: Carnival Adventure, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Celebration, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Encounter, Carnival Firenze, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Legend, Carnival Magic, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Pride, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras.
Holland America Line:
Holland America is the official cruise line partner of the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), and every ship in the fleet has a top-deck court with ocean views.
Princess Cruises:
Pickleball is available across much of the Princess Cruises fleet, typically on shared sports courts alongside basketball and other activities. Newer vessels—Sun Princess, Discovery Princess, Sky Princess, and Enchanted Princess—have Pickleball built into these courts as part of their design, while older ships retrofit existing courts for the game. Open-play sessions are on the daily schedule, with tournaments added when there's enough interest.
MSC Cruises:
MSC has added Pickleball to its World Class ships—World Europa and World America, with World Asia and World Atlantic to follow—plus Meraviglia and Euribia. Courts live inside the ships' Sportplex arenas alongside basketball and other activities.
Norwegian Cruise Line:
Norwegian's Prima-class ships—Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Aqua, and Norwegian Luna—each have one dedicated Pickleball court. Several older ships, including Norwegian Bliss, Breakaway, Epic, Escape, Getaway, and Joy, also offer Pickleball on a shared sports court.
Virgin Voyages:
Every ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet—Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady—offers Pickleball on a multi-use sports court, with equipment provided onboard.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises:
A handful of Regent's ships have added courts, including Seven Seas Explorer, Splendor, and Grandeur, with Seven Seas Prestige set to join the list when it debuts in December 2026.
Oceania Cruises:
Oceania Allura and its sister ship Oceania Vista both have dedicated Pickleball courts, with Oceania Sonata expected to follow when it launches in late 2027.
Explora Journeys:
Both Explora I and Explora II have Pickleball courts enclosed with a net—a rarity among luxury lines.
Cunard:
Queen Anne became Cunard's first ship with a dedicated top-deck Pickleball court.
River Cruising:
Even river cruising has joined in—AmaWaterways' AmaMagna was the first river ship to add a dedicated court.
A Pickleball Court Doesn't Make a Pickleball Vacation:
A court on a ship is a starting point—what happens on it is what makes the trip. For most cruise passengers, playing Pickleball onboard means working around the ship's daily schedule, sharing court time with basketball and other activities, and hoping to find other Players at a similar skill level.
That's the difference with Pickleball At Sea Group Cruise. Every sailing includes private group court time reserved just for our Guests, expert instruction from a renowned Pickleball Pro, and Exclusive Local Pickleball Experiences Ashore at venues like The Fort in Fort Lauderdale—home of the APP Tour—and Baha Mar Resort in Nassau. You're not fitting Pickleball into your cruise. The whole trip is built around it.
Spots fill fast, and every sailing is small and intentionally intimate—view upcoming dates and reserve your spot before the one you want sells out.
